Detectives Release Video of Store Robbery
For Immediate release: June 18, 2015
Hamilton, ON
Hamilton Police Service Detectives continue to investigate a robbery that took place on Thursday May 28th, 2015 just before 2:00am and are now releasing the video to the public in an attempt to identify the man caught on security camera committing this crime.
The man entered the Macs Convenience store on King St E in the east end of Hamilton while in possession of a black handgun. The man pointed the firearm and made demands for cigarettes from the store employee. The employee cooperated turning over cigarettes. The suspect also used a common Blue Box used for recycling during this robbery.
The employee was not physically injured.
The man was last seen running away from the store with the stolen property.
Suspect Description: Male, white, approx. 6 ft. tall with a thin build. The man’s face was covered using a black balaclava and was wearing black and grey sweatshirt along with dark blue jeans, dark shoes and black gloves.
